Notes
It is the hexameter of the famous ghazal poem, which begins: The hexameter has become a substitute for our closeness *** and represents the goodness of our encounter with each other, composed by the vizier Abu al-Walid Ahmad bin Abdullah, the Andalusian poet known as Ibn Zaydun, who died in the year 463. The hexameter was recorded in a book for fear of being lost in the year 1181 by Abdullah bin Abdullah al-Adkawi, who died in the year 1184. This copy is copied from the copy of al-Adkawi mentioned above. Above. The verses of Ibn Zaydun's poem are written in red.
