Notes Manuscript written by the author; He is Sheikh Qasim Al-Hamdi Al-Mahadhar Bashi Al-Mosili, a scholar, poet, and writer. He became prominent with his poetry and the foundation of his calligraphy. He wrote a collection of poems, takhamis, and metaphors. The chief scholar of Mosul in his time, the late Sheikh Abdullah Bash’alim Al-Amri, eulogized him with verses the beginning of which was (O grave, virtuous has arrived at your grave). He dated his death by alphabetical calculation (To Jannatul Firdaus, Qasim has returned) 1255 AH/see Al-Rawd Al-Nadhar. Naming the maqsara of Sheikh Shihab al-Din bin Ahmad al-Khafaji, in which he opposed the maqsara of Ibn Durir and Ibn Sulaf in praising the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace: - May my soul be sacrificed for your cheeks when they were inspired ****And your beholders with desire when they were inspired Damn my aggressors in Hayya, brother of roses, Hayah Hayya **** so turn red and take his rose from Hayya.
