The author is a writer, hadith scholar, and participant in mathematics and physical sciences. His works: Collection of benefits from Jami’ al-Usul and Majma’ al-Zawa’id from Combining the Five Books, al-Muwatta’, and the link between the successors and the connection between the predecessors. The author arranged his book into chapters in which he mentioned the parts of the astrolabe and their drawings: The first part: The mother, which is the great plate. The second part: The plates, the part of the sun, a chapter on taking the height, a chapter on knowing the circle and its virtue for the sun and the planets, and a chapter on knowing the ultimate height of any part of the zodiac... The copy has some comments and footnotes.
