Sample Text Surat Al-Naba’ is a Meccan saying whose origin is that the nun is assimilated into the meem due to the closeness of its exit. The combination of two letters that are homogeneous and close together in speech necessitates a kind of heaviness, so it is repelled by one of the ways, and among the ways of repelling it is assimilation because it produces a kind of lightness, and one of the two consonants is not assimilated into the other except after inverting it with the other in order to achieve the positive similarity.
