A book that deals with the translation of Sheikh Abi Muhammad Abd al-Rahman bin Muhammad al-Fassi, after he completed the translation of his sheikh, Sheikh Abi al-Mahasin Yusuf, in another book. It mentions his birth, in the year 972 AH in the city of Qasr al-Kabir, his upbringing, then his trip to Fez to study, and those he learned from, most notably Sheikh Abu al-Mahasin, Sidi al-Arabi al-Fassi, and many other leaders of the era. Then he mentions his works and the principles of his method, and tells us about its course. And his concessions, and about his work, asceticism, and piety, and his proficiency in the sciences of interpretation and hadith, and about his articles and poems, and about his establishment of his party, which he arranged for those who would take it from him. The aforementioned scholar Sheikh died in the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal in the year 1036 AH.
