The book includes some of the etiquette of the emirate and the ministry, and the author has divided it into thirty chapters, the first of which is a chapter on encouraging reading and learning, and the thirtieth chapter is on the arts of dreaming and etiquette, with footnotes in a different handwriting. In the version before the beginning of the book, there are poetry selections, and after its conclusion there are two poems, one of which is by Lisan al-Din Ibn al-Khatib al-Salmani. The book “Al-Ishara” was printed in Beirut, Dar Al-Tali’ah, 1981, edited by Dr. Radwan Al-Sayyid, under the title “Al-Ishara to the Literature of the Emirate.” Another edition was also issued under the title: “The Book of Politics or Al-Ishara fi the Management of the Emirate,” edited by Dr. Sami Al-Nashar, Dar Al-Thaqafa, Casablanca, 1401 AH/1981 AD.
