Number of verses of Al-Arjuza: 1308. The first part of Al-Arjuza begins with the definition of medicine and its sections, then moves on to mentioning the temperaments, seasons, developing bodies, and human characteristics of masculinity, femininity, imprisonment, bodies, and colors. Then he mentions the humors, organs, spirits, and animal and psychological forces, then actions, natural phenomena, the effect of dwellings, clothing, flowers, and perfumes on a person’s mood and health, and the effect of colors on sight. Then he addresses food, drink, sleep, wakefulness, movement, rest, vomiting, and merit. This part ends with an examination of the aspects of action when judging with evidence. The second part is divided into two parts: 1) Preserving health. 2) Clearing the cause. He elaborates on all of this and ends by talking about the treatment of a dislocated bone.
