Notes
He did not mention its title or the name of its author. Perhaps it is an explanation of the introduction to the prayer by Abu al-Layth al-Samarqandi, followed by corrections, comments, and transcription differences in its margins. The pages are numbered incorrectly, after which there are two pages containing miscellaneous benefits.
Sample Text
His saying, “Know that prayer is obligatory.” Prayer in the language means supplication, and in Sharia law it is the name of the actions that have been called a condition and a pillar. His saying “standing” means permanent as long as the heavens and the earth remain over the believing men and women with all their actions. His saying “shariah” means one of the ways of the prophets, and these five prayers were prescribed on the night of the Ascension.
