Notes
An annotated manuscript with some comments in its margins. The introduction was not written and the name of its author was not mentioned. Its title was “Saghir Taysir.” It is not the book “Taysir fi al-Qira’at al-Sabe’” by Abu Amr al-Dani, and it may be an abbreviation of it. It is also possible that its author is the Mahdavi, Abu al-Abbas Ahmad bin Ammar al-Qayrawani, who died in the year 440 AH, as it was mentioned in “Kashf al-Zunun” that he had a book entitled al-Taysir al-Saghir.
Sample Text
Surah Al-Fatihah: Asim and Al-Kisa’i recited “Master of the Day of Judgment” with an alif, and the rest without an alif, and behind “Al-Sirat” and “Sirat” where they fell with the bright Isham of the Sad, and Khallad with its bright Isham in The Almighty God’s saying: “The straight path” here in particular, and Qumbal is marked with the sīn wherever they fall, and the rest with the ṣād.
