If the beginning of the copy is as stated in the compiler’s card, then its author appears in the first line of it, unless this beginning was transmitted from Muhammad bin Ismail bin Abd al-Ghani al-Dahlawi, and since I have not yet found another copy of it to verify this, the matter remains with the compiler because Brockelmann did not mention it in the translation of Mahbub al-Muradabadi nor in the translation of Muhammad bin Ismail al-Dahlawi. The copyist wrote its text on a newly made kajed.

Al-Raji says, may God have mercy on the venerable Muhammad bin Ismail bin Abdul Ghani Ibn Musnad Al-Waq, the eminent sheikh, the chief of hadith scholars and the crown of jurists, Sheikh Wali Allah bin Abdul Rahim Al-Amri Al-Dahlawi, has pleased him: I say, our martyr Lord Ismail was one of the nobles of Quraysh, from the Banu Adi bin Ka’b Al-Qurashi, and Faruqiya is one of the descendants of Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Omar bin Al-Khattab bin Nufayl.
