Notes
A good old version, which is a linguistic, grammatical, and literary explanation of Al-Hariri’s Maqamat. It was mentioned in Al-Kashf that its opening is: (Praise be to God, the Most Praiseworthy for all blessings).
Sample Text
Oh God: a word used in supplication, meaning, O God, and the meem in it is a substitute for the letter of the call, and therefore it is not combined between them, but rather it was opened before the letters were built, and the origin of the construction is sukun, so when I increased the two miams while they were sakun, I moved the second with the fatha to meet the sukun and they chose the fatha for its lightness, this is its origin.
