Praise be to God, who has made clear to us the features of the religion... As for what follows, God, glory be to Him, bestowed upon the nation a leader who succeeded in prophecy, encompassed the religion, and delegated to him politics, so that the administration would emerge from a legitimate religion, and the word would come together on an opinion that would be followed, so the imamate was a foundation upon which the rules of the religion were established.
