Notes
This book is divided into four sections - in addition to the introduction and conclusion - and each section contains sections and chapters. It examines, in general, the industry of chemistry in terms of its subject and purposes. It talks about bodies, elixirs, and various aspects of management. It deals with the issues of heating, humidification, cooling, and drying with plant elements. It also talks about salts, vitriols, sulfur, arsenic, types of mercury, sweetened and dried hot water, and about distillation, types of sublimation, calcination, and purification. Stacking, fixing, analyzing, waxing, bleaching, and browning. The copy was written by drawing the treasury of Sultan Moneim Moulay Hassan I. The indexer mentioned that it was owned by Mar bin Ali Al-Jaldaki Izz Al-Din (d. 743 AH).
