Praise be to God who created man and taught him rhetoric, and peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad, whose general message showed evidence of miracles.. Now, the poorest of servants say to his master, Al-Sayyid Fasih Ibn Al-Sayyid Sibghatullah Al-Haydari Al-Baghdadi, may they be pardoned by the Forgiving, the Guide. When I saw the books written in the science of rhetoric difficult for beginners among boys to understand, it occurred to me to compile a small-sized book that is easy to articulate, combining the sections of metaphor, metaphor, and metaphor, with examples given.
