Notes
The author is Abd al-Rahman ibn Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Jami, al-Shirazi al-Harawi (Nur al-Din Abu al-Barakat). He was born with a robe from the Qasabat of Khorasan in the year 817 AH. It is narrated that his father, Sheikh Ahmad, traveled with his wife to Hijaz to perform the Hajj, and after performing his rituals and visiting Medina, they returned to their country via Isfahan, and when they arrived in the town of Jam, they had a son whom they named (Abdul Rahman). Then Sheikh Ahmad remained in that town for seven years. He was given the title of Sheikh Al-Islam, then he retired, and after a while he took his son Abdul Rahman to Medina and enrolled him in the school for religious students. It was not long until Sheikh Ahmed died in Medina. After a while, Sheikh Abdul Rahman returned to his original home - his father’s birthplace - the village of Kaku Zakaria in the Huraman region of Kurdistan. It seems that he did not stay there long, so he left it, heading to the village of Herat, and died in the year 898 AH. Many works, including the benefits of luminescence, explained by Kafiya Ibn al-Hajib, and other works mentioned by the sources.
