Notes The text is followed, and contains valuable footnotes by Ibn Himmat, in his handwriting, including at the beginning of his saying: (I did not come across the collection of these trilogy, but I came across another collection by the hadith scholar of Egypt, Ahmad ibn al-Ajmi. He thanked God for his efforts and made Paradise his abode, and he included these hadiths with the hadith “Actions are but by intentions” with the chain of narrators of Bukhari, and he signed a nice explanation of them, and it is, as he said in the sermon of his book, derived from Fayd Fath al-Bari by al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar, and all... I referred to it from the footnotes of these hadiths from the explanation, so what is meant by this explanation is that I met with this compiler in the hundred and thirtieth days of my neighbourhood, and it was not possible for me to learn from him, may God have mercy on him. I said: Perhaps the compiler of these trilogy is Imam Muhammad ibn Musa ibn Abdullah, Abu al-Khair al-Saffar (d. 471), its translation in Siyar A`lam al-Nubala’ by al-Dhahabi: (384/18). It has a copy from the Al-Zahiriyya Library in old Damascus. Firstly, it is from Ibn al-Saffar, with some differences in prioritizing and postponing the hadiths.
Sample Text These are the three hadiths that were reported by Imam Al-Hammam, one of the sultans of Islam, Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismail Al-Bukhari, may God have mercy on him, in his collection. I chose them from him as a reminder to some of the brothers, and from God is help, and upon him we can rely. The first hadith was narrated by Al-Makki bin Ibrahim, who said that Yazid bin Abi Ubaid told us on the authority of Salamah. He is Ibn Al-Akwa’. He said, “I heard the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say, ‘Whoever says about me what I did not say, let him take his seat in the Fire.’”
