Date 1306 AH / 1888 AD; 11 Jumada al-Awwal
Notes He mentioned at the beginning that he explained the book (The Masterpiece Al-Mursalah), attributed to Abu Saad Al-Mubarak bin Ali bin Al-Hussein bin Yandar Al-Baghdadi Al-Makhrami (d. 513 AH). (Ghouth): Perhaps it is Muhammad Ghouth bin Abdullah bin Hamid al-Din al-Kuwaliyari al-Hindi al-Dahlawi (d. 970 AH). He has works on Sufism mentioned by al-Baghdadi in Hadiyat al-Arifeen 2/247 and in various places in Idḥāt al-Maknoun, but this book is not among them. (Al-Makhrami): Judge of Bab Al-Azj in Baghdad, and founder of the Al-Makhrami School in which Sheikh Sayyid Abdul Qadir Al-Kilani (d. 561 AH) studied. He taught there first, then his student, Sayyid Abdul Qadir, took over after him. Upon the latter’s death, he was buried there. The school turned - over time - into a large mosque, then a school and a library joined it in a later era, and these facilities are still standing and performing their mission to this day. Good copy.
Sample Text We praise you and seek your help, O Possessor of Majesty and Honour, and we pray and greet you, O bearer of the banner and intercessor of standing... As for what follows, he says... Muhammad ibn Ghulam Ghawth, may God forgive them and pardon them. The Al-Malkuti manuscript, nicknamed “The Masterpiece of Mursal”, is attributed to the distinguished scholar, the best of the diviners of humanity, Abu Sa’id (Abu Saad), Mubarak Al-Makhzoumi (Al-Makhrami), may God have mercy on him, since it was famous from the texts. Sufism is like the noble kingdom of all countries, and it is a comprehensive of it like the Great Qur’an of all the revealed books. I have been waiting for a long time and I hoped from God’s help to explain to him a comprehensive explanation of what is necessary, and sufficient for whoever embarks on it, so I now embarked on it, relying on the inspiration of the right thing, and clinging to the tail of the infallibility of Al-Ghouthiyah, and I called it the Collector of Treasures.
