Notes
The name of the letter in Kashf al-Zunun is: “The Winds of Messages and Minhaj al-Wasa’il,” and in “The Gift of the Knowers”: “The Crown of Messages and Minhaj al-Wasa’il,” as on the title page. Ismail Pasha said in his sequel: Addresses between me and the Holy Kaaba, which are seven letters, but in this letter there are eight letters: The first is on folio 131/a: The divine message with which Abdullah pleaded with her and sent it down to her. The second in 133/b: The Holy Message with which Abd al-Hayy pleaded with her and revealed it to her. The third in 135/A: The Ittihadi letter, in which Abd al-Aleem pleaded with her and sent it down to her. The fourth in 137/a: The Syriac letter with which Abd al-Shakur pleaded with her and revealed it to her. Fifth in 140/A: The Mashhadi letter with which Abd al-Basir begged her and sent it down to her. Sixth in 142/A: The Firdausi message with which Abd al-Sami begged her and revealed it to her. The seventh in 144/A: The virginal message with which Abd al-Wadud begged her and sent it to her. The eighth in 146/A: The Existential Epistle with which Abd al-Qadir pleaded for it and revealed it to her, and at the end of it are benefits on Sufism in a paper.
