Most of the letters are copied in Nasta'liq script, and the fourth treatise contains death dates, including that the registrant mentioned that his wife Safiya died in 1112, and in another treatise he wrote that his son Abdullah died in Dhul-Qi'dah 1089, which is the oldest date. On the first pages of the book is an unclear seal with what appears to be “Muhammad bin Ubaidah” written on it.

Know that one of the advanced students had to serve... Al-Ghazali... and he was busy collecting and teaching knowledge to him... O dear loving boy... the message of advice is written from the source of the message, may God bless him and grant him peace. If you have received advice from him, then what need do you have in my advice?
