Notes In the text we find the three titles mentioned, followed by a full page with a useful title: “The Names of the Ten Companions,” and at the end it was written that it was quoted from Sheikh Fakhr al-Din Othman al-Dimi, the sheikh of hadith scholars in the Egyptian lands at the Elmas Mosque, on the twenty-fourth of Sha’ban in the year eight hundred and ninety-two, and then comes the following message.

It was narrated on the authority of Ibn Ishaq, on the authority of Salman al-Farisi, may God be pleased with them both. He said: When the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, died and the king of the caliphate, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may God be pleased with him, led the Muslims to the best of standing. The narrator said: While he was sitting in his mihrab one day, and he was telling us and we were telling him about a hadith he had heard from the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he said: While we were like that, a monk was coming from the Levant. And with him were two thousand monks
