A very brief treatise on Arabic grammar, the name of which is mentioned by Al-Baghdadi in his gift, “Ghaniyat al-Tullab,” and although there is a library by the author in Jerusalem (the library of Sheikh Muhammad bin Hubaish) or (the library of al-Badiriyah), no other copy of this manuscript remains, and Brockelmann does not mention it.

And after that, know that a word is a singular statement. If it indicates a meaning by itself without a tense, then it is a noun, and if it has it, then it is a verb, and if in something else, then it is a letter. If a letter is added to the beginning of a verb, from “ānit” then it is present tense.
