Notes - This thesis examines the origins of formation, the arts of composition, generation and dimensions of letters, with good examples of Arabic calligraphy arts. Not printed. - The author was born in the year 1349 AH = 1930 AD, in Al-Shuyoukh District in Adhamiya. In 1959, his first poetry collection, entitled “The Ray,” was published, containing a number of artistic works written by Balkashani. He has a number of books, including poetry collections, studies in translations, and the like. - The book (Biographies of Contemporary Baghdad Calligraphers) was printed in Beirut, in 1977.
Sample Text The first thing the pen wrote: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the Master of Messengers, our Master Muhammad, and upon his family, companions, and followers until the Day of Judgment. As for what follows: This is an interesting and noble message, which I have put in the characteristics of Arabic calligraphy, which includes revealing the origins of formation, the arts of composition and generation, and the dimensions and directions of the letters, in clear, nice expression that is far from complicated, with examples that clarify the speech.
