Notes An average book containing one hundred and sixty-six chapters on grammar and thirty chapters on morphology. He wrote it for Adad al-Dawla when he read grammar to it, and when he saw it, he shortened it and said: I have added nothing to what I know, but this is suitable for children. So Abu Ali went on and compiled the sequel, and carried it to him. When he saw it, he said, “The sheikh got angry and brought what we and he do not understand.” However, the copyist appended to the manuscript a chapter on telling what, alif, and am, and he said in At the end: “The appendix found in some copies has been made, and praise be to God alone.” The manuscript and its appendix are located in 206 pages, including two for appended research, namely (folio 205 and folio 206). He left a margin of width (5 cm) with corrections, explanations, and valuable comments.
Sample Text “Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and may His blessings be upon His Chosen Prophet and his family. As a result of that, may God prolong the life of the venerable prince who supported the state, our Lord, and perpetuated his glory, and bestowed upon him his grace, longevity, support, victory, and empowerment. I have collected in this book chapters from the Arabic, seeking to compile them according to what was stated in his command. May God exalt him. If my effort agrees with what he has decreed, then that is his guidance and good warning and guidance. And if his servant’s understanding falls short of what our Lord has specified.” May God grant him wisdom and guidance. I hoped that he would be able to forgive him, knowing that after investigation the mistake is made on the part of the one who made the mistake.”
