The entire collection is in the handwriting of one scribe, who appears to be Muhammad bin Ali bin Mulla Sabtah al-Shaykhli al-Baghdadi (d. 1318 AH), by order of Sayyid Ali al-Qadiri al-Kilani, captain of the nobles in Baghdad. Written in beautiful, clear Nasta'liq script.

Sheikh Imam Al-Hafiz, the scholar Abu Al-Faraj Abdul Rahman Ibn Ali Ibn Abdullah Ibn Hammad Ibn Al-Jawzi Ibn Ahmad Ibn Jaafar Ibn Abdullah Ibn Al-Qasim Ibn Al-Nazar Ibn Al-Qasim Ibn Muhammad Ibn Abdullah Ibn Abdul Rahman Ibn Al-Qasim Ibn Muhammad Ibn Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq, may God Almighty have mercy on him, said: Know - may God Almighty grant you success - that when I followed the doctrine of Imam Ahmad - may God be pleased with him - I saw a man of great ability in the sciences, who exaggerated... May God have mercy on him - in looking into the sciences of jurisprudence and the doctrine of the ancients, so that no question comes up without him having a text or warning about it. However, he is in the path of the Salaf, and he did not compile anything except what was transmitted. I saw his doctrine free of classifications, the type of which was widespread among the opponents, so it was classified.
