Ali, may God be pleased with him, said: Whoever reads Surah Fatihah al-Kitab, it is as if he read the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, and the Furqan, and it is as if he gave charity for every verse he recited, filling the earth with gold for the sake of God, and God forbid his body from the Fire. The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Whoever recites Surat al-Baqarah, ties of kinship will not be severed from him as long as he lives, and God Almighty has made a blessing in his wealth, for in learning it a thousand blessings...”
