Notes The book is an abstract summary of the book “Al-Maqasid Al-Hasanah” by Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al-Sakhawi. It was stated in its introduction: (And I have named this blessed book, Distinguishing the Good from the Bad from the Hadith that is circulating on tongues.) This differs slightly from the title mentioned on the title page. It is obscured twice in red, once in black, and obscured in black again for the margin, despite it being devoid of comments. At the end of it, it comes to the mother from which it was transferred on the date of the month of Jumada al-Akhirah in the year 1247 AH, which is the year of its copying, and accordingly it was also sold on the date of the month of Ramadan in the year 1329 AH at the end of the manuscript as well.
