Notes It is most likely that the author died after Ramadan in the year 906 AH, that is, after the year 1501 AD, as he says in one of his religious works in Al-Dhahiriyya that he completed it in that year while he was at the school of Sheikh Al-Islam Abu Omar in Damascus. The lines of the copy are different, written without coordination, and perhaps they are in the hand of the author himself. He quotes the words of Ibn Asakir al-Dimashqi, who mentioned that there are 57 pigeons in Damascus and its suburbs, in addition to one in Rabwah and others in Ghouta and Qaboun. As for Ibn Abd al-Hadi, he mentions one hundred baths, including Hammam al-Kattani, Izz al-Din, al-Bimaristan, and al-Adl, and describes them extensively, not in terms of the health service they provide, but rather from a legal and jurisprudential standpoint above all, mentioning in it how the bathroom is built, its conditions, water being sent to it, its entry for men and women, the time for each of them, its benefits and harms, and eating or drinking in it, along with a description of the pots, cups (kicks), sinks, its floor, and its tiles. And his money, and the wages he collects, and his guard, and those of the predecessors who praised him, and the etiquette of the bathroom in general. Perhaps this book is part of a collection, as it seems that the work was prolific, linking research and book to book, and most of it is at the same level, which is neither praised nor criticized because it reflects a vivid picture of the work’s era. And the scientific situation at that time.
