Notes
The author's introduction indicates the time period in which he lived and wrote the book, which is between 918 AH and 926 AH, as he mentioned that he wrote it during the reign of Sultan Selim I bin Bayezid bin Muhammad Khan. The text contains a commentary, with small comments in its margins, which are comments on some areas of Al-Baydawi's interpretation.
Sample Text
Praise be to God who revealed the Qur’an to us as a source of happiness in this world and in the hereafter... And after: When I read Al-Qadi’s interpretation... I wanted to write papers in it... to serve... Sultan Salim bin Bayezid... His saying is not appropriate to deal with it and stop talking about it, except for those who have excelled in all worldly sciences. He replies to him that the religious sciences depend on the science of interpretation because it is based on what he mentioned. The least meaning for him to depend on it for the necessity of the role.
