Notes
A rare, old copy, part of which is from “Shuaib bin Hamzah” to Kitab al-Kunya, in a volume, like the previous one in calligraphy and size. It was stated in the printed catalog that there are other copies of this manuscript in the catalog of manuscripts of the Western Library at the Grand Mosque in Sana’a by Ahmed Muhammad Issawi and Muhammad Saeed Al-Malih under No. 335; It is worth noting that Brockelmann only mentions one trip by Abu al-Tayyib al-Fasi to Yemen, in the year 806 AH, and Rosenthal indicates in his article “al-Fasi” (The Islamic Encyclopedia, New “2, 828-829”) that Al-Fasi spent some time in Yemen, and did not mention the date of his visit.
