Notes	Sharh Adud al-Din Abd al-Rahman bin Ahmad al-Iji, who died in the year 756 AH, Mukhtasar Ibn al-Hajib. This is Al-Taftazani’s commentary on Sharh Adud al-Din, and it is called: Hashiyat al-Taftazani on Sharh al-Adud ala Mukhtasar Ibn al-Hajib. The text in it was generally written in black ink, and the copyist wrote the word: (his saying) during the text in red ink only, and folios 268a and 273b were attached to it from another copy of the commentary. Its copies: This copy of ours was described in the Aligarh Index 112/2 Descriptive Catalog with the same number, and nine copies of it are in the Al-Marashi Al-Najafi Library 2/310, and Brockelmann mentioned a number of copies of it in 1/206 and its appendix 1/538. 1 This was reported by the professor who prepared it, and he had to convey to us what he found at the end of what is available..
Sample Text	(Praise be to God who has enabled us to reach the utmost principles of Sharia law...) And then, just as the summary by Sheikh... Ibn Al-Hajib... flows from the books of fundamentals as the forelock is from the kamit, or even the pearl is from the pebbles, so too is his explanation by the scholar... Supporting the Faith and Religion, flowing from the explanations.
