The author says in the preamble that our Lord Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman bin Hisham “commanded us to write a book that will be a surprise in the face of time, and a comfort to the eyes of those who see it, and that collects the news of this blessed, honorable and beautiful state.” The order was published, and the book was arranged in a strange order, and it included an introduction, two wings, a heart, and a leg, “so it was like the victorious army, and the situation necessitated that it be called “the five-member army of His Majesty the Sharif Al-Alawi Al-Silmasi.” In the introduction, he deals with the firsts and the truth of the imamate, its merit, and its conditions, then he talks about the right wing of the army, which is composed of brigades: the first, which is the Great White, the brigade of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the second, the Bani Umayyad Brigade, which is Red, the third black is the Banu Abbas Brigade, the blue is for the Banu Ubaid state in Egypt, the fifth is for the Ottoman Empire, and then talks about the Udrasa state (the first brigade on the left wing), the second is the Marwanid state, the third is the Almoravids state, the fourth is the Almohad state, the fifth is the Hafsid state in Africa, the sixth is the Banu Marin state, and the seventh is the Saadian state, followed by the heart of the five-armed army in the state of Mawla Ali Al-Sharif. Al-Sijilmasi, and the talk about the state of the Sijilmasi nobles, and the beginning of Muhammad bin Al-Sharif, and from here he mentions the incidents arranged according to the months and years, mentioning the noble sultans in succession, and referring to them by banners and banners, until the era of Sultan Moulay Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin Hisham, who took over the king in the year 1276 AH, and at the end of the book is a talk about the tax and the king’s characteristics of courage and forbearance, the ministers, the veil and writing and their conditions.
