According to a note on fol. 1r, Qīmat Muṣṭafá b. al-Ḥājj Ḥusayn b. al-Ḥājj Muḥammad b. al-Ḥājj Aḥmad al-Ṣamāquwī bought the manuscript from the estate of the late ‘Abd al-Raḥīm Afandī b. al-Ḥājj Aḥmad Afandī al-mashhūr bi-Barakah (or Sīrkah)’zādah al-Ṣamāquwī, followed by his seal impression: Muṣṭafá On the same page is an inscription by the same hand, which states that the manuscript was copied by (bi-khaṭṭ) the same al-Ḥājj Aḥmad Afandī. Another note, on fol. Ir before the text, explains that the manuscript was bought by someone from Muḥammad Siyāshū(?) Āghā b. Qīmat Muṣṭafá Afandī. Note on front endpaper: “Book which I took (or bought) from ‘Alī Afandī”.
