(The beneficial summary by Jaafar bin Al-Hasan bin Yahya bin Saeed, who died in the year 676 AH). The copyist wrote its text mostly in black ink, and used red ink to write the chapters, chapters, symbols, signs, and so on, on a newly made ink. At the beginning is an index of the titles of the copy, and at the beginning there is also an erased seal. (Praise be to God, the Most High, the Mighty, the Wise, Possessor of the Noble Throne...), for the science of jurisprudence does not conceal its achievement of its goal in honor and virtue, and it is not ignorant of everyone’s need for it, and that is enough of nobility. Among the things in which he compiled was the book “Mukhtasar al-Shara’i” by our greatest sheikh and most honorable leader, the eminent scholar and the best reviewer, the star of the faith and religion, Abu al-Qasim Jaafar bin Saeed, may God sanctify his soul.
