The author was a resident of Baghdad. He was attributed to a family member of the villages of Baghdad. He was a gentleman who sold books. He excelled in poetry and literature, including his authorship: “Zinaat al-Dahr,” Al-A’lam 86/3. This book contains a collection of riddles, mysteries, anecdotes, tales, wisdom, and sayings, and arranged them according to the letters of the dictionary. He compiled it at the request of Mujahid Abu Mansur Qaymaz bin Abdullah al-Zaini.
