Notes
It falls within a group, which is a footnote to Mir Zahid's footnote to Al-Dawani's footnote to Tahdheeb al-Lughiq wal-Kalam by Al-Taftazani. The scribe generally wrote it in black ink and used red ink to write the word: “his saying” during the text. Copying it: For its copying, see: Brockelmann Appendix 2/303.
Sample Text
His saying, and what is obtained by the infinitive, oh, know that the infinitive may produce for the subject a constant that remains with it if he wants to stand and sit, for example, in itself, and he obtains the form of standing and sitting, and he may not obtain that meaning in anything else, such as the rhythm of movement in another body. The infinitive may be used and what is meant by it is the meaning that occurs with rhythm.
