Notes Collector of Fatwas, in which he mentioned that he selected the important ones from Al-Minya, Al-Qaniya, Al-Ghaniya, Jami’ Al-Fusulain, Al-Bazazi, Al-Waqi’at, Al-Idhah, Qadi Khan, and others, but it is not the same as his names in mind, and his selection called Tuhfat Al-Ahbab by Sheikh Abdul Majeed bin Nasuh, its beginning is Praise be to God who has bestowed upon us...etc. It is in ten chapters, each with ten chapters, and each of them includes ten issues; The paper is thick, and it is a collection of fatwas. There is a copy preserved in the Egyptian House of Books, No. 332, Hanafi jurisprudence, written in the year 953 AH - and on it is his name (Qarq Amir). By referring to the index of manuscripts of the Egyptian House of Books, we found two copies entitled: (Jami’ al-Fatawa), written by Qarq Amrah al-Hamidi al-Hanafi, who died in the year 860 AH, in which it was mentioned that he filtered the important matters from (Al-Miniya, Al-Qaniya, and Al-Khaniya) and other explanations. The first is a copy written at the end of Sha`ban in the year 949 AH, with the demands of the book on its margins, and ruled 10 lines, on 149 sheets of paper measuring 14 x 20 cm (20716 B). The second is with a regular pen on 176 sheets of paper, lined with 17 lines, and the first of them is an index of topics, size 16 x 23 cm (22585 B). The author is Qarq Amir al-Hamidi, an Arabized Turkish jurist from His works: Jami’ al-Fatawa (the manuscript that is in our hands), and Sharh Kanz al-Daqa’iq by al-Nasafi on the branches of Hanafi jurisprudence.
Sample Text The Basmala and prayers be upon the Prophet. Praise be to God for what He has bestowed upon us of the knowledge of laws and rulings, and guided us to know what we did not know through the guidance of the All-Knowing King, and made it easy for us to follow the example of the honorable ancestors, in spreading the sayings of the eminent Imams; And we saw with the light of success in gratitude for benevolence and blessings.. As for what follows: When I saw the desires of the seekers turning away from lengthy matters; Desiring abbreviations due to the many obstacles and realities, especially in these days and times. So I filtered out the important issues from the considered fatwas...and I called it the Jami’ al-Fatawa because I collected what was in it from the issues of death, richness, and masterpiece.
