Notes	An annotated copy, with corrections and comments in its margins, and the word “he said” with red lines above it, and in all the references the date of the author’s death: 713 AH, and at the end of the book, in a space entry, the date of composition was written: 772 AH. “Ibn Abdullah bin Al-Hussein bin Jahdham Al-Hamdhani Al-Shafi’i,” who died in the year 414 AH, wrote a book also called “Bahjat Al-Asrar.” Haji Khalifa made them one person, and there were three hundred years between them, as Al-Zirkli explained in “Al-A’lam” (4/304) and Ismail Pasha in “The Gift of the Knowing” (1/639). In the beginning of the copy, the names of the sheikhs of the scholars included in this book are listed, translated by them on a page, and there is a benefit on half a page.
Sample Text	And after: I was asked to collect what occurred to me in the words of our Sheikh, Sheikh of Islam, Muqtada Al-Awliya from Al-Anam, the knowledge of guidance, Muhyiddin Abu Muhammad Abdul Qadir bin Abi Salih Al-Jili, may God sanctify his soul and the light of his shrine... So I sought guidance from God Almighty and answered the questioner, seeking immediate benefit and future reward, and compiled it into a single book with chain of transmission, relying in it on authenticity without deviations, and I separated it by mentioning notable figures. The sheikhs, some of whose actions or sayings we have reached regarding this matter... and I called it: “The Joy of Secrets and the Mine of Lights.”
