It is stated in the blank entry of the composition: (I finished paving this fortified fortress from the words of the Master of Messengers on Sunday afternoon, the twenty-second of Dhu al-Hijjah, in the year seven hundred and ninety-one, in my school, which I established with the head of the linen obstacle inside guarded Damascus. May God Almighty protect it from pests and all other Muslim countries. And all the gates of Damascus are closed, even built with stones, paved behind the doors, and the creatures are crying out for help from the walls and the people. In a great effort of siege, the water was cut off, and the hands were raised to God Almighty in supplication, and the outskirts of the country were burned and most of it was plundered, and every one was afraid for himself, his money, and his family, and feared for his sins and evil deeds, and he fortified himself with what he was able to do, so I made this my fortress, and I put my trust in God, and He is my suffice and the best disposer of affairs.
Sample Text	For this fortified fortress is from the words of the Master of Messengers, and the weapon of the believers is from the treasury of the faithful Prophet, and the great temple is from the words of the Noble Messenger, and the guard hidden from the word of the infallible, the safe. I have given it advice and extracted it from the authentic hadiths. I have highlighted it with protection from all adversity and stripped it of a garden that protects from the evil of people and heaven.
