The book Mushkil al-Athar fi al-Hadith by Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Salama bin Abdul Malik al-Azdi al-Tahawi al-Hanafi (d. 321 AH). This copy was written by different pens, and it appears that the first one was by an advanced scribe from the people of the seventh century.

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the Master of Messengers, Muhammad, and his good family. The eminent Imam, the eminent scholar, Jamal al-Din, Abu Saad, al-Mutahhar bin al-Hussein bin Saad bin Ali bin Bandar al-Yazdi, may God bless him, said: When I looked at the book compiled by Sheikh Imam Abu Jaafar Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Salama al-Azdi al-Tahawi - may God have mercy on him - and called it Mushkil al-Athar, I saw it so beautiful that no one like it had preceded it before it and no one had compiled anything like it after it.
