“Indeed, We sent it down,” that is, We sent down the Qur’an, “on the Night of Destiny,” that is, on the Night of Judgment and Decree, because God determines the sustenance of everything, from mankind, jinn, birds, and lions, and the number of their breaths, movements, and lives. Then God grants the succession of those who manage things a command.
