The author is from the Al-Fakhri family of Mosul: He was the writer of the Diwan al-Insha’ in Baghdad during the time of the Vizier Ahmed Pasha, the governor of Baghdad. He worked in astronomy and wrote books including: Sawanih al-Qariha fi Sharh al-Safiha, a footnote to Sharh al-Jajmini, and a treatise on how to work in the Safiha. The manuscript is an explanation of the interpretation of the spheres by Bahaa al-Din al-Amili, arranged by the author in the order of the original into an introduction, five chapters, and a conclusion. The copy has a corresponding copy of the author’s copy in the year 1233 AH / 1818 AD.
