Excerpts from: Ibn Malak ‘alá al-Mashāriq (i.e. Mabāriq al-azhār Fī Sharḥ Mashāriq al-anwār), Ibn al-Athīr’s Nihāyah [fī gharīb al-Ḥadīth wa-al-Āthār], Ibn Ḥajar al-’Asqalānī, al-Nawawī, [al-Suyūṭī’s] al-Jāmi’ al-kabīr, al-Munāwī’s Sharḥ al-Jāmi’ [al-ṣaghīr], al-’Alqamī, Bustān al-’Ārifīn, and other works. On the front endpaper an unnamed individual has noted in Ottoman Turkish, in Dīwānī script in black ink, that his son al-Sayyid Ismā’īl was born on 22nd Ramaḍān 1138/24th May 1726. Seal impression: Muḥammad, fol. 1v. The National Library acquired the manuscript in 1917.
