Thank you, O God, for your great blessings... In the middle of Ramadan in the year two hundred and sixty-six, my friend... Hassan bin Ahmed Al-Kawakibi Al-Halabi... showed me a book in which he collected his father’s poetry, the praises received for him and his predecessors, and the biographies of praisers. He called the Book of Psalms “Al-Nafāḥah and Laws from the Gharār of Virtues and Praises,” and he asked me to read it to him.
