In writing his book, the author relied on several books, including the history of Ibn al-Atheer and Ibn Khallikan, and Nukat al-Humyan by al-Safadi, or what he heard about the sheikhs of the era and time, then he presented it to Amin Bey Effendi al-Mufti. The author arranged it into twelve articles. In each article, he mentioned incidents of one hundred years of the Hijra, beginning with the first year of the Hijra and ending with incidents of the year 1210 AH. This copy was written on a written copy in the year 1295 AH, corresponding to 1887 AD, by Fathallah Sarkis in Mosul, at the beginning of which are comments by Yaqoub Sarkis.
