It was stated in its introduction that the author relied in writing it on the books of the imams of the language, especially Durrat Al-Ghaws by Al-Hariri, and presented it to one of the princes (whose name was not mentioned). He left her a 2.25 cm wide margin with the names of the letters according to which the letter was arranged.

Glory be to Him who exalts the majesty of Himself from the impurities of forgetfulness and error, and whose entire attributes are sanctified above the attributes of swearing and slurring... And then these are papers that I blackened and words that I included from language books and letters from trustworthy imams that were compiled in response to those who committed a mistake in their speech.
