Notes
This is a book in which the author collected poems, poetic pieces, verses, and maqamat that were recited for various purposes. The author also cited some verses that he attributed to Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Hajar, and verses that he attributed to al-Sabti while they were from al-Safi al-Hilli in Sharh al-Badi’iyyah. He wrote the title of the book in good Diwani script, and mentioned the author’s name on the title page.
Sample Text
Praise be to God who created man, taught him speech, and sent down measurements and weights... And then I am reminded in this honorable and dear collection of... what God, Glory be to Him and His praise, has put on the tongue of His servant from Him, of improvised verses, poems, melodies, and verses.
