Know that jurisprudence is a good science, and it is for the sake of the sciences, and it is the science of religion and Sharia, and the foundation of Sharia is through it, and the lawgiver is not known except through it, and it is necessary for every rational person, whether knowledgeable or ignorant, to initiate it and benefit from it what helps and strengthens him in performing the obligations of God Almighty.
