Notes
The copyist wrote the text generally in black ink, and used red ink to write “everything he wanted to clarify,” such as: titles and titles of works included in the text, the phrase “another serial as well,” the letter “H” (i.e., hadith), and other things, inside tables colored in red and blue ink, on a newly made ink. It has the ring of Muhammad Abd al-Hay on it. Copies: One copy is in the Yemen Manuscript Index 147, and two others are in the Khudabakhsh Index 30/116, 129.
Sample Text
(Praise be to God who revealed the best hadith to the best sent prophet...) And then, the poorest servant of God Almighty and the one most in need of His eternal mercy and satisfaction, Muhammad Abid bin Ahmed Ali Al-Sindi, may God Almighty accept his repentance and his parents, cover his faults, and forgive his sins: Some students of hadith have stayed with me for a long time, and they asked me to summarize for them some of my sources in the respected books.
