The aforementioned Fatiha is a continuation of the words that were mentioned at the end of the first section in paper (158b): (It is recited by a single part to attach Abu Sa’id, may God have mercy on him, with assimilation) - The first section - It appears that a section of the book was omitted from the beginning. The book is devoid of an introduction, preface, or anything like that. The author made it into a number of parts. - See regarding the brief comment: (“Sibawayh is the imam of grammarians in the works of scholars during twelve centuries.” Written by: Korkis Awad, pp. 69, 170, 209) - Al-Serafi is Al-Hasan bin Abdullah bin Al-Marzban Al-Serafi, Abu Saeed (d. 368 AH = 979 AD). His origin is from Seraph - from Persia -. He lived in Baghdad and was the judge there. He explained the book of Sibawayh, and he excelled in it. Its translation in: (Al-A’lam 2: 210 - 211), (And the Authors’ Dictionary: 3: 242 - 243), (Dr. Ibrahim Al-Samarrai: Abu Saeed Al-Sirafi and the Book of Sibawayh): “Journal of the College of Arts. 9 [Baghdad - April 1966] pp. 25-37) and the references they mentioned regarding it. - The author has not found a translation of it. Perhaps he is (Al-Hasan bin Ali bin Muhammad bin Badi, known as Abu al-Ajaza’ al-Wasiti (d. 460 AH = 1068 AD): a writer, one of the poets and writers. He has many works. He was originally from Wasit. He lived in Baghdad and died there. His translation is in: (Al-A’lam 2: 219) and the references he mentioned regarding him. - In folio 72: “The beginning of the second part of the end of the lesson on my fragmentation of the book “Sibawayh.” Title sheet: It has an inscription inside which reads: “The brief commentary from the book of Abu Sa’id, may God have mercy on him, in Sharh Sibawayh by Al-Hasan bin Ali Al-Wasiti, may God have mercy on him.” Sections: One and Two (= 181 Q, 19 S) are illustrated with fragments from a handwritten copy in the Coprelli Bookstore in Istanbul (No. 1493).
