Sample Text The eminent sheikh, the imam, the one and only most complete grammarian and linguist, Shihab al-Din Ahmad, said... Praise be to God who sent down to His servant the Book speaking wisdom and detailing the discourse, and promising its reader the greatest reward, and making his follower follow the paths of righteousness and correctness... And after: The Qur’an is the best of the venerable books of God. He sent it down to the best of His creation in general and sent him with it to the best of a nation, as His clear and trustworthy Messenger attested to, making it a book that distinguishes between doubt. And certainty... It is better for the wise, thoughtful, and intelligent person to become familiar with the most important of his sciences, which are, after improving his words through recitation, five sciences: syntactic science, morphology, linguistics, semantics, and rhetoric. Some scholars have added to this the mention of the reason for the revelation, and the stories based on what the commentators did. So when I saw the matter like this, and looked at what people mentioned about these arts, so when I saw the matter like this, and looked at what people mentioned about these arts, I sought the help of the Most Generous God in gathering the ends of these sciences, taking from every knowledge the greatest chance.
